This posting will walk through the process we went through to complete this LSX  300zx swap. there have been quiet a few lessons learned along the way and quite a few more to go but let me start at the beginning. This 300ZX started its life as a Automatic. The owner had the car 5 speed swapped. The next step was a TT Build/ Swap. The owner had a shop that Sold him on a Take Out TT that was a “Fully Built Motor”  The TT swap process began and then Draggggged onnnnn. Seems to be a common theme I hear from guys coming in to the shop. X shop or so & so had the car for X amount of time its not done can you finish it. So the TT swapped 300z showed up It go finished and Put on the Dyno did some base tuning. Gave it to the customer and said driver it for a bit lets see if there are any gremlins that need worked out and lets go from there. well several days later. She let the ghost Go and spun a Rod bearing. End of story……… Ha no. so what shall we do to get some reliable, ( reliable being the key to the whole build) power and the ability of hitting over 500Whp without having to sink another boat load in this thing…… Pun Intended……

300ZX TT build and then LS swap

First Thing was to get the Old VG motor out and prep for the LS going in. We chose a Crate LQ9 motor and went with LOJ conversions kit using the motor mounts, trans adapter, hooker block hugger manifolds, z32 accessory drive brackets.
